I was under the impression PS exclusives were only supposed to last a year. Was that not a thing?

I believe it is, just seems a bit long to wait a year for it. I am not sure about the new DLC's exclusives though. Nothing that I know of was said.

I agree. A year is far too long. As for the new DLC maybe the exclusive content stays exclusive for a year after its release.
