I hope more people ignore the "takin your money" expansion. Maybe they would get their shit together. Doubt it though. I will keep an eye out somewhat on destiny 2 also.

I'm convinced it's Activisions input, Bungie never used to be greedy buggers, they only used to care about putting out the best damn game they could. And judging from the budget given to this game, the presumption that they cut to complete game into pieces to ship as money grabbing DLC is confirmed. But even still that doesn't excuse the lack of Story, Bungie have gone from being The Roddenberry of the game world to the SyFy channel.

I'm not sure but wouldn't be surprised. Either that or bungie egos just blew up after halo. Just my opinion but it seems they have no idea what they are doing other than graphics and hamster wheel gameplay. I have read about world of warcraft actually using psychological data to see how far they can waste your time before you will quit..using that to try and deliver as little as possible while continuing to keep you addicted due to all the "work" and time you put into it. I don't even remember wow being this bad of a time waster. Interesting note...I received an email from bungie asking if I wanted to dive in and be some kind of gameplay study gerbil. No.

Are you serious? They may well be trying to do the same thing as blizzard, seeing how far the stretching point will be. Maybe they just need to start reading the forums a bit more, from what I've read quite a few people think they have gone down a notch or two. In any case them conducting gameplay studies will either be a very good thing or rather sinister, with Activision involved, i suspect the latter. I wish it was possible for Activision to be axed from Destiny 2, however I'm sure they have Bungie in legal bondage over their new cash cow.

Edited by Speck311: 6/16/2015 1:06:45 PMYes sir. Here is part of it copied and pasted. The Bungie User Research program has been a big success ever since we started conducting bold experiments on gamers like you. We've learned a lot about great games and the brains that love playing them. But we must have more test subjects! We need Destiny players of all levels and play styles to go to playtest.bungie.net and sign up to be part of our research program. From the newest Kinderguardian to the most grizzled Raider, we need everyone's feedback to make Destiny better. A few lucky Guardians will even enter our studio to participate in top secret missions!" So far this game is an absolute slap in the face.

Edited by Reaper: 6/16/2015 1:33:29 PMBlatantly admitting to conducting bold experiments, I wonder if that includes mental manipulation, via the same stimuli that inhibits an addictive response from poker machine players and gamblers alike but in a fun and exciting game. I've said it before, Activision and I think Bungie said that they were against micro-transactions, but they are all for sub standard DLC releases for a fair amount more, maybe they should charge micro transactions for all the content, it'd probably work out cheaper than what we pay now, wait, were paying.
