the exclusives are determined by which company paid bungie/activision extra; Microsoft is a cheapskate; I mean c'mon a console demanding a monthly fee for online gaming; you expect them to pay extra for game content for their players? lol Sony on the other hand has always given extra content well on games I've played at least there's always promotions and there has never been a monthly online fee; except for games like FFXIV and other mmorpg. Just being able to play online games Microsoft charges for that; fck that company.
Not hating on your post; but sounds like you're asking for something like a DLC or a pay-to-win content as such in other games. blame Microsoft.

Thank you for the response. Absolutely makes sense. I don't want to really blame anyone, I would like to see some kind of solution come to this. Maybe if Microsoft saw more of an interest? I don't know.

Wtf? I've never paid a monthly fee for any games and have been on Xbox for 10 years... They give us free games as Sony does to you. So where the -blam!- did this shit come from?

Are you paying for your bills or your parents? that's my next question; either that or this whole XboxLiveGold membership some games are required to be a part of to play its online content.

I pay for my own seeing I'm 37 and have a really good job and I'm not charged monthly for anything. I am charged 60$ a year so I still don't know what this monthly shit is that you keep bringing up

Not all of it, I'm not sure where the virus protection charge is coming from. I pay one subscription fee (same cost as PS Plus) one time per year for online play. I can still play offline the same way.

ok well that's it then the subscription fee; I play on PS3 the Playstation Plus is not mandatory; and it's just free games; right now and for the past 2 years and my days in destiny I have never been a playstation plus subscriber and Im able to play online just fine. No subscriptions; they're different.

PSN is only free on the 3, but if you want PSN Plus on your 3, it costs you monthly. The only game I can think of on the Xbox that has a monthly subscription of its own that I can think of is Final Fantasy XI.

If it really is a problem for your stepdad tell him to get the year package, which on both PSN and Xbox Live is $59.99 lump sum and then he won't be charged like $9.99 a month
