I think there's an opinion going round that people aren't using e-cigs as a way of getting off normal cigs (how they were originally marketed), they are using them as a legal alternative; which means people are still getting addicted to the nicotine which means it's still bad.

While I agree, and hate to play the "lesser of the two evils" game, but nicotine is about as harmful as caffeine is, in terms of your health. Also, most juices and vape shops will have selections of which nicotine level you want, 0mg being and option, which coincidentally also tend to produce the most clouds due to their mixture, which is what most of these people who don't have addictions are doing it for, cloud chasing. Personally, I see the people who do this without the quitting part as a tad impressionable, so a habit that realistically isn't too bad for you is probably better than some of the other habits out there. I know it's a shitty argument, I'm not saying it's a good thing that people aren't using vaping as it was originally marketed, but I mean, people are always going to have something they do that's not particularly good for them.

Personally i don't really give a damn so long as we don't allow kids to have them, but that applies to alcohol, caffeine etc as well. Also I read somewhere that the motions involved in smoking (literally having something in your fingers that you put to your mouth once in a while) can be as hard to shake as the chemicals themselves, because you get mentally addicted to it like you do Marijuana, and that's a contributing factor to why some people who start using e-cigs get just as addicted to them as they were on regular cigs. It's kinda scary how little control we actually have over our bodies when you think of it.

If it is so bad why are cigarettes for sale. I smoked 40 a day for 8 years and been on ecig for over two years now
