In the UK the expansions cost £20 each, that's more than $60, the price of a new game.
This isn't about new content vanilla users don't have access to, that's perfectly fine. This is about content that was available until the DLC and then stripped out and placed behind a paywall. This is essentially Bungie holding content you've payed for hostage until you buy their woeful DLC (that was already on the disk and then resold to you for the price of a new game).
Want to play today's daily? Give me money
Want to play the weekly? Give me money
Want to play the nightfall? Give me money
Want to play a strike above 24? Give me money
The fact that people support this tells me:
A - they have no idea they're contributing to the screwing over of the consumer that is now so prevalent in gaming
B - they have no idea of monetary value
C - they are blind fanboys
D - all of the above

Then buy the damn dlc and shut the -blam!- up

Thank you, your exemplar in idiocy perfectly reflects what I said and shows how toxic this community is.

Nvm it was for you and him. This is very silly. I'm tired of hearing people complain about this. Especially when you put 1000s of hours into a game that you say is bad. It makes no sense to me. If you want WoW go play WoW. If you wand CoD, play CoD. If you want Halo, get Halo. If you think it's crap, then don't play it because it's people like you who stir up the toxicity when you post these "I didn't get my money's worth!! Bungie is money Hungry" posts that literally makes no sense. What exactly are you mad about? Not being able to do the nightfall because you didn't choose to buy the DLC? Then that's too bad. You said you didn't want it, then you don't have the right to play it. Bungie has every right, just like every other company in the world, to make as much money as possible, any way possible. So if they want to cater to those who spent the money to support their product then they can and you just have to suck it up and deal with it because even though I'm not getting two nightfalls or whatever, I'm getting a nightfall that you can't do so :p :p :p :p to you. Go ahead fight me, I dare you lol.

Destiny the game is fine. The post never said it was not enjoyable. It's bungie and activition sales tactics that is the issue here. If you haven't understood that yet then good luck to you. I would rather have an industry that is accountable and not excuse everything they do as "just business" saying it happens and we should be ok about it. If you are happy to be taken advantage of then good for you. There will be plenty of people ready to do that to you. This post is for everyone else who doesn't want to be fleeced and wants to safeguard the future of gaming.

I don't have your problem. I have no problem with the content and don't feel taken advantage of and there are more who feel the way I do than the way you do. I'm sure you gonna say something like we are bungie/activision fanboys or something like that but it's not about being a fanboy it's me wanting to play the game and explore every avenue to do so. If you want an extra nightfall and weekly, that's fine. And sure, you guys should get some sort of break for still being around. But, right now, the DLC strikes are the most popular. The new strike is the most fun. And once taken king comes out, there will be MORE NEW STRIKES that will be the nightfall/weekly you won't get to do without getting the DLCs. Why you don't like them? Only you know but it's not going to change. One nightfall, one weekly. You guys already get access to DLC weapons, the Reef and other things without playing for it. And get max level chances as well. For free. That why I don't have any sympathy for this post. While you feel like you are "fighting the power". Me and the majority of the community are playing and enjoying the full benefits of this game that is continuously growing, massively and at an alarming rate.

First of all, I like destiny but recognize that it has many flaws. So, like anything you like that has flaws you criticize it so those aspects will hopefully become better. I don't know if you've realised, but this is the feedback forum, where people criticize the game and it's flaws. If you don't like that don't come here. Second, you are absolutely right, Bungie can do what they want with their product, they can cut off content that has been available and playable since day one and lock it off behind paywalls rather than make simple workarounds and screw over their paying customers in numerous ways. That doesn't mean they aren't terrible business practices made to screw over the consumer. On disk DLC anyone? These practices contribute to an industry where the consumer is already being nickeled and dimed everywhere possible and being sold less content for more and more money. Also, I like this implication that I haven't put money towards Destiny, I have. To the tune of $60 dollars. Sure it's not the $140(even more in the UK) that Bungie will want you to spend by the end of this year, but I am a paying customer. Lastly, I like how you accuse me of making this forum toxic by providing feedback when you admit in your own words to being an asshole on purpose simply because someone is providing feedback.

I didn't even read, I just wanted to be an asshole lol. Because idk lol I'll read it and give proper feedback. Besides, I just bumped you lol

Wait that reply wasn't for you anyways......

All the above.... And so true.
