The characters are linked to your PSN account, so, unless somehow your account is hacked or deleted (which is VERY unlikely), they're safe and sound ;)

Thank you. I don't know why the application was deleted but it sure did scare me. I feel better knowing that I still have my characters. Wasn't about to spend that much time regaining what I had! Thanks for the help:)
