Someone please clarify for me, was he fired, layed off, retired, did he quit, what happened?

He was laid off without notice. They should get the guy that did the "music" for halo 4.

That's ridiculous, he was one of the reasons halo was such a masterpiece in the first time and his contributions to Destiny are incredible too. I'm blaming Activision.
