I am completely convinced that the Ghorn is not coded into my copy of Destiny. That said, at this point, I DONT WANT Xur to sell it. I still want it to drop for me after I have done one of the missions. If Xur sold it, of course I would buy it. But I would not feel that sense of pride and reward that the Ghorn deserves. Just me though.

I felt no reward getting mine from a drop, (because RNG has no place in this game since bungie decided they would never add trading) I just feel good to use it.... But I still hate all the a-holes that don;t want it sold (not you necessarily, cause your meaning a sense of accomplishment, I do not understand however XD)

I know my first time to get I was excited hell I bet the dude in my fire team I played crucible with was happy he got one I sure would have been but I have 2 got lucky on death singer and nf

If you feel pride and reward from a random roll of the dice, then more power to you. I wish you the best of LUCK.
-
So, just don't buy it. I know you said you would buy it but that you'd feel no sense of "pride," which is ridiculous in and of itself, but how about just not buying it. If you want to feel the rush of having it drop from RNG then just don't buy it. I don't know, I don't get how you people take personal pride in video game rewards.

People can get a sense of accomplishment from doing just about anything in life, no matter how irrelevant the accomplishment stems from. Writing a poem, losing weight, creating your very own porn website, getting Gjallahorn. You get the point. We all make our own goals that are only important to our own individual self. Having said that though, I would totally ditch that Ghorn goal if Xur sold it. I just would like to feel the same thrill so many others have experienced when they got it.

Eh, we disagree on what an accomplishment should actually be then. Writing a poem, losing weight, creating a website, sure. Getting a make believe gun from a make believe video game, this is where we disagree. But, I'm an adult who places more emphasis on real life accomplishments and use video games strictly as entertainment. But, more power to you.

You are absolutely right about real life achievements being more important than I. Game ones. I totally agree. But, can you honestly tell me that, you didn't feel a sense of achievement when you killed Atheon or Crota for the first time?
-
I don't raid. But I can honestly tell you that other than entertainment, accomplishments in this game give me minimal feelings of joy, if that. But, I'm not the gamer I was in my younger days either. Growing older has brought more responsibilities which leave minimal time for getting absolutely engrossed in a video game. Maybe that's the difference.
-
I can totally empathize with that.
-
I apologize for being an asshole, but sometimes the sense of entitlement of this generation of gamers, and especially the ones who play this game, can be overwhelming and difficult to continue to read day after day. That's where I thought you were headed.

No worries. I understand too well how these forum posters teach us to always be on guard against trollers and childish comments. I never take it personal when someone disagrees with me.

You're one of the few, rock on.
