I want a husky/Shepard mix for my next dog, or a full blown but domesticated wolf would be bad ass lol

  • I used to breed shepherd/wolf mixes. Loveliest and best dogs I've ever seen.

  • How are their personalities? Would they make a good companion?

  • They are really kind dogs, in my experience. When I had one of the males and was still as sweet as when he was a puppy as he was as an adult. Great buddy, he figured out on his own that my dad couldn't see well in the dark and guided him through the house at night.

Awesome. I have a decent sized property and was looking into different breeds. German Shephards and Wolf dogs seem very appealing to me. Would you recommend them? (Wolf dogs specifically)

  • Yeah I could. Though I will say they can be a bit clingy, wanting to go almost everywhere with you. And they can be territorial in that they sometimes get protective about your person, and personal space, in that unless made clear they don't want strangers near either. Also remember pack mentality is a big part of teaching and socializing. Just need to affirm things and you'll have damn loyal, and loving buddy.

  • That's actually a gorgeous mix. I fell in love with my friends, but I can't get away from the purebred. The temperament is to perfect.
