Agreed. Though Miyamoto has become a burden on both the Zelda series and the Mario RPGs with his ancient game design principals of "story is bad"

The Mario RPG games are more complex than that, with new characters like Booster, who is a rich guy that invited a bunch of Snifits to party in his hotel and is causing a bunch of problems in the Mushroom Kingdom. In fact, you even team up with Bowser AND Peach in that game. And then there's Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story where you're literally shrunk and go inside Bowser and his thoughts. But then Miyamoto removed the story for Paper Mario on 3DS and we were had a story about saving Peach and levels that were decent but lacked any soul because there were no characters
