Think about it, not many players had thorn wh en the auto rifle was around. When destiny first came out and after a good couple months i played in the crucible and rarely seen thorn being used. Now every Tom Dick and Harry has one. The reason you didnt see thorn that much is because there wasn't much void to use as there is now for the bounty.
Besids all that, bungie should of kept all exotics out of crucible and worked from there to make balance in the game. As it is now its stupid to even play any crucible, and to far gone for any balance....

Wrong, there were thorns but they were garbage, the gun got buffed when they nerfed the autos. If there were viable high impact autos then thorn would be less popular. Currently everyone and their mom uses thorn in most endgame pvp content. If just like a little more variation.

No there were thorns around but they were a 6 clip, and were not very usable tbh. Think they had lower dot as well. I do agree that auto rifles coming back would be a good thing though. Sick of everyone and their mother using thorn.
