I see too much idiots in this post so i can clarify this.
When you get game, you play that. After some time, they will release a dlc to those who want even more content. Bying dlc doesnt mean that it will affect to those players who dont want to buy dlc.
In MMORPG games it goes like this.
- You dont pay, you can still play the content you have paid originally
- If you are willing to pay, you can play that content you originally bought + [b]that new content you bought.[/b]
Bungie is tupid and desided that every player have acces to single weekly heroic and nightfall strike, meaning that those who dont have the dlc, cant play weekly heroic or nightfall some times. They should seperate dlc players and non dlc players.
Think this like in Call of Duty. You buy a map pack, so you unlock a new playlist where you can play only those new maps. You can still go back and play the old ones. The players who didnt buy the map pack, cant play those new maps, but you can still enjoy the stuff you bought for 40-60$.
Everyone who is saying "buy the dlc" are just [u][b]morons.[/b][/u] You cant force others to buy stuff to play the actual game.
Now im just waiting for rage responses :).

I'd really like to play vanilla WoW. I bought the original game and I'm willing I pay the sub fee. But wait...I can't. Why is that?

I think you misunderstand the DLC in this case. You can't compare it to a map pack from COD. They are completely different. DLC on COD adds 4 new maps for you to run around in. It doesn't alter anything else about the game. DLC on destiny alters everything. It ups your light level, which changes what levels you play strikes on. It affects the gear you're wearing, which again changes the way your game will play. The game end game experience changes when you buy the DLC. It doesn't add 4 maps for us to have a look at. What would you do? Have them give you two nightfalls and 2 weeklys? And what happens if one nightfall is skolas and the other is omnigul? Without DLC you still can't play them. It's a great idea in concept. But can you image how the original player base would feel if they came on every Tuesday and it was sepiks prime or the nexus? We've run them so many times, we don't want to run them over and over and over because of people that decided they don't like the game enough to roll with it

I never said that call of duty dlc is the same as Destiny dlc, it was an example to understand my point. To understand that the purpose of dlc is to give something new, like you said, more strikes, light level, etc. 3. Dlc purpose is to not make your gaming experience easier, period. They should give you more content to play. The point of my comment was to tell you that dlc players should not get this kind of advantage to non dlc players, only more content like story missions, armor, weapons, strikes and so on. 4. Every week there should be a chance for non dlc players to play the weekly content, just like before TDB. Dlc owners should also be able to play their strikes as weekly heroics and nightfalls, but never overrun the non dlc players. Hope this clarifies it more.

Expansions, get this, expand the game. By not including new content in the weekly or NF rotation, its robbing DLC owners of content. You can't expect Bungie to have the same 5 or 6 vanilla strikes as NF forever, do you? If so, you're a delusional one. Its also a marketing tool. Show customers what their missing out on.

Every other RPG game is doing it right, i have never saw this kind of game desing on other games, thankfully. Its easy to seperate dlc players out of non dlc players. You can play dlc strikes when weenmy comes, but then they should give a chance to those who dont have dlc, just like before the first dlc.

How else would bungie add these strikes into a nightfall or heroic setting? And don't tell me "add another playlist" because that makes three additional chances for dlc owners to receive gear and people would still bitch. And even if they did do that, and made it to where dlc owners could only earn a single piece of gear from any nightfall, then they have a choice of which one they want to do, which people will still bitch about.

I wouldn't bitch you paid for the new content you should get new content. I refuse to buy the DLC I want my only original playlist content. Don't want armor rank or anything just let me have the game as purchased. I have never seen any other game I have purchased take content away from a purchaser because of DLC. This type business model is going to hurt us all in the long run.

Its not that hard to seperate dlc players with non dlc players. Every other RPG or MMORPG is doing it, and it works. Every time there is a dlc strike in the weekly reset, non dlc players should be able to play some other strike, that is in the disc.

id rather just spend 3 hours worth of wages to buy an expansion worth countless hours of fun. seems easier, quicker, and more effective than bitching about it. but thats just me.

Opinions are opinions you stupid phuck. its [b]impossible[/b] for one opinion to be more valid than another even regardless of experience or "stripes on our belt" because regardless, they are still a damn opinion. the fact that you can imply that what someone says doesnt matter shows me that your NOT here to express your feelings and points, your here to have one sided arguments and hate on people and its quite pitiful. any more assanying comments?

I buy new dlc that have team deathmatch game mode on those new maps. That [b]does not[/b] mean that all those players who dont have dlc, cant play team deathmatch without the dlc. Sure dlc owners can get new gamemodes like in advanced warfare "grapple team deathmatch, and thats ok. Additional content is the point of dlc, not making your gaming experience easier, thats almost pay to win. Any other constructive opinions?

Hey your right.... It keeps going like this in future games we ALL are going to be paying high amounts for a game. Original purchases of Destiny at release and the DLC that's $100. Really is the game was worth $60 fine but it wasn't imho. Now the DLC really another $40 not worth it. I'll bet Destinys release has got a lot of people re thinking preorders and DLC purchase. I feel Bungie has shot themselves in the foot. I now will really look hard at new releases and not preorder. I did this with Far cry and it worked out great. I bought all the DLC too... In fact FC 4 to me is a better game overall.
