Never have an issue building a fireteam using entirely lfg... One problem just recently has been popularity of the old raids which I do still enjoy doing, a lot of newer players trying vault of glass and Crota but I'm fine with that

Even if the leg works to gather a group, isn't it a cumbersome process to get everyone ready to actually start the activity?

Nah... Not really, if you're the one that makes the group everyone joins the group, if you answer someone else's post you join their group... Then you begin the activity, if the hose isn't happy using game chat he will usually then create a chat party and invite you into it. Really is a quick process
