You know, I read this and had a single thought:
WE'RE ALL DOOMED! THE VEX ARE GOING TO KILL US ALL!
Wait. One second:
If the Vex were going to destroy us, couldn't they already have?
Couldn't they have traveled back in time and destroyed the beginning of humanity before it even existed, therefore taking that hope away from the Traveler?
But they didn't. So I can draw a single conclusion: THE VEX HAVE ALREADY FAILED.
They were thwarted in their plans millennia ago, and yet they still haven't been defeated yet. Why is this?
Because the Vex have yet to go back in time. Either they need time to prepare for the massive jump, or they fear the Guardians and the Traveler will follow and destroy them before their plot can succeed.
And so we've already defeated the Vex. It is impossible for us not to have. We defeated them before the Traveler even came to us.
Isn't that neat?

Maybe we created the vex and they can't wipe us out because that would in turn wipe them out causing a paradox.
-
I think that the reason they haven't wiped out humanity is because they need us for something. What if the vex are our form just different or evolved or controlled some how
-
Vex are controlled by the nine and are meant to balance the light and the dark within the solar system. Thus fighting fallen and guardians alike.
-
Fallen aren't TECHNICALLY minions of the darkness, they are ex-guardians seeking the traveler out, wondering why it left them
-
I read someone's theories that the vex are humans that have evolved greatly and have come back in time. They can't destroy us because they would themselves die in the process. I don't believe this but it's interesting.

Just depends if you choose to look at the 'Many Worlds' Theory. Every choice has options, and in each reality, each choice is made. The only reality that is visible is the one we choose. We may only see the reality where the Vex chose not to destroy us, and we never see the other possibilities
-
I love thinking about time travel physics problems

It seemed to me that there are multiple timelines with every possible outcome. We do not for certain which reality we live in. There is a reality where the Vex destroy us, a reality where neither side wins, a reality where we win, a reality where we all take a break and get pizza and so many otuer possibilities Never thought i'd be this intrigued by this stuff

I like pizza.
Quits playing destiny

Gets a pizza

shares pizza with all destiny players

Everyone quits destiny and eats pizza

Everyone forgets about the vex in the first place
Maybe we accidentally created the vex so therefore they can't kill our ancestors

A very paradoxical claim. Very neat indeed.
Our most recent patch 1.2.0.2 reintroduced a bug that was applied to the Vex Mythoclast back in 1.1.1 The weapons firing cone is far greater than the reticle and does not reliably land shots were you are aiming along with the ammo count being incredibly low. As an aside, this is my favorite gun bungie, and I would appreciate some updates
