What do you think of the Halo 4/5 armor?
Honestly, I think the new armor looks way too weird and futuristic. Over-angular, too. It just looks plastic and ugly. I absolutely loved Reach armor, It looked practical, military, and badass all around. The armor made Spartans look like walking tanks/battle-hardened commandos, while Halo 4/5's makes the spartans seem like flamboyantly gay Power Ranger space explorers from a children's cartoon. The only benefit is that the color fits, and even that takes away the badass look of the armor and makes it just look individualistic. It's a damn shame that the gay armor is going to be in Halo 5 (and probably 6) too, and there's nothing we can do about it.

Yeah the new armor is pretty nasty and they all have a lot of similarity. There's not much variety in their designs to make them unique to each other. I sported the Recon helm in 4 and it wasn't bad, but others....I mean look at that shit.

I know humanity is learning shit from Forerunner shit and making impressive technological advancements, but the Spartan armor doesn't have to look like a Gundam. Halo 5 is a step in the right direction. The body suits look better, and the armor sets look good.

It fits the Spartan IVs quite nicely I think. IVs aren't the kinds of killers that IIs and IIIs were. I think it's only fitting that they should seem a little more polished and neat, instead of dark and gritty like past Spartans.

I thought 4s armor was kind of stupid, but 5s armor is a definite improvement and I think it looks cool

I love the new armor. It looks more like a super suit than the previous games. Halo 1-3 made Master Chief look like a walking brick imo.

Halo 4 had some awful armor to be sure, but I didn't like how clunky Reach's armor looked either. Halo 5 is looking pretty good so far and Helioskrill is absolutely God teir.

1 ReplyI will say first that the player models in halo 4 were much nicer, so any armor that did look good fit better than in 3 and reach (where a lot of things were very bulky). Overall the armor in halo 4.... Was just hideous. Especially the helmets, I could count about 5 decent ones and only 2 or 3 good ones (2 of which were locked behind DLC). They went far too alien and impractical with most of them. I haven't seen any of the halo 5 armor yet, but I certainly hope it looks more realistic and not just some "we threw a bunch of junk together" helmets. And they better have Mark V and ODST in there from the start this time.

much better than the stuff in other games sure there are a lot of bad sets but there were a lot of good ones as well halo reach had no good armor at all
