I think that would be a cool plot line. Oryx, furious at his sons death, launches and assault on earth and captures the traveler to drain its light thus dooming the guardians. U have to raid the ship, kill oryx and rescue the traveller before its too late. Also, the queen and the fallen house of kings, join u as they recognize the grave threat the hive represent

But... The Awoken know of a threat we don't. We know about the Hive. They wouldn't come for that.

Yes but after the events of the house of wolves treason the queen saw the value in the guardians as being allies which is also y she intervened in the battle of twilight gap; she doesnt want them wiped out. Also if the hive succeed then all light would be snuffed out by the darkness and the awoken could never survive. On top of that if the awoken r aware of the threat beyond (which could be oryx per shrine of oryx mission) then they would need the guardians help to fight it, since she couldnt fully handle the wolves. They need our strength so they wont let us get snuffed out.

She's looking for the most powerful aliies, guardian or not. Why do you think they hold Trials by combat for the prisoners who are afford to be fully armed? Also, Petra will tell you the Queen has a plan. I think she's looking for the greatest champions to use against the danger that we don't know about yet.

The problem is i just know the game destiny wants to be. Joe and Marty knew too. But we'll have to see if bungie can get their content staight in destiny 2, the mechanics of the game r solid at least
