It's not aim, I usually see them still as unkillable at the time you are getting them. It has nothing to do with overpenetration of shields.

There is definitely a period of time when the reviving person is immune to all damage, tho. At the end of the video clip, it was like OP was shouting them instantly and the time to travel would kill them a second later.

Nope we do this a lot with spears or LDR or armor piercing. It's a legitimate tactic, not cheating or any lag etc.
