Of course you are and always will be either male or female in the sense that youre born with either one part or another.
I think the issues with all this silly nonsense occur with society. People with certain parts are expected to act and say and like different things than people with different parts. Which doesnt make much sense to me... What does having a weiner have to do with liking the color blue?
Anyhow, if that were to disappear and people were allowed to do and say and like whatever they want, despite what parts they have, I imagine the desire to have a sex change would dramatically lower or maybe even disappear. Since you are no longer defined by what parts you have, what reason would you have to want change them?
Have nothing against people that have sex changes, though. Go for it. But I think its kind of avoiding the real issue(s). Or tip-toeing around them.

good post. to add to it here is another perspective consider a male and female lion they each know their role in the pride and both perform similar duties being born with certain parts does not exclude them from any more than it includes them both hunt, both protect members of the pride and the lioness knows her place in a patriarchal environment yet can survive on her own if need be. if she were to challenge the patriarchal rule she would be struck down or even killed. not to be primitive or animalistic in nature i am just using an analogy feminists/gender progressives think they can change an age old practice and method that has gone on for centuries that is not the way to go about it because they will be pushed out/ostracized or even done away with the lioness would leave the pride because she did not agree with how it was run the same should be said for these progressives put simply: if you dont like it, leave.

I dont mean to be "that guy" and I get what you are saying but... Female lions do all the hunting and pride keep-up. Males simply keep other males away. (For mostly "selfish" reasons, but some protection. For cubs atleast. Females arent generally in danger). Anyway, it goes both ways, hyenas for example, are a matriarch species. Females, even pups, take top over all males. Why? No real reason. (That Im aware of, but I dont study hyenas) Males are bigger and stronger but females decided to take the lead in this species. And males accept that, or like you said, get struck down or booted out. That aside, whether we're patri- or matri- it still has the descrimination for no real purpose. And, with humans, its not really as simple as "I dont want to be a boy or girl, I want to be a person, so I'll just leave" since theres no place on earth that they can go to that doesnt have the "youre a dude or youre a chick" veiw. [spoiler]But actually it is that simple. Because, you know, the internet. But you cant live on the internet. Yet.[/spoiler] But anyway, we arent animals, now. No animal pride or cackle or flock or herd or whatever else has laws or government. And yet we have it. We've essentially killed off natures rule of survival of the fittest simply because the weak ones got sick of dying all the time and decided to change it. And so society and laws and all that jibba-jab was born despite completely going against nature and the whole "Im in it for myself" mentality that most animals have.
