Now, first let's make one thing clear. Destiny is not dead.
However, Destiny has had little to no competition in the past year. But with each game release, a portion of the players quit, and a portion of that portion comes back.
In the next 6 months, we will see -
*CoD Black Ops 3: With confirmed Zombie mode and Rictofen.
*Fallout 4: With real open world gameplay and a successful franchise of RPG FPS mechanics actually done right.
*The Elder Scrolls Online: It'll steal die hard MMO lovers and fans of the series.
*Star Wars Battlefront 3: ENOUGH SAID
*Halo 5: A lot of players hyping about this one.
*Arkham Knight: A lot of people said I forgot it lol
These six games won't kill Destiny, but I have a feeling it'll take half its player base (30% of which will just play multiple games and come back occasionally), leaving behind die hard fans who can't break the addiction. What do you think Bungie? Can you handle the competition?
For those wondering why I'm insulting so many people for being idiots and trolls, there are two reasons.
Reason 1: I literally wrote in bold and underlined the fact that you can play several games all at once. Those who read the post noticed this and are awesome. Those that didn't read it are making fools of themselves lol
Reason 2: This beautiful insult generator is savage and too entertaining! Try it out!

4 RepliesThis game killed itself for me. Boring, tedious end game with prison of elders. Friends arguing over what weapons other friends have to have maxed to be able to play end game because you cant save. Horrid netcode in multiplayer that benefits laggy players. House of Wolves has really turned me off to playing destiny.
-
End of story? I've been waiting 3 months and the story still hasn't begun....
-
Lmao, why don't you go look at the Elder Scrolls release?
-
Edited by Penhoat: 6/9/2015 1:35:46 PMNot a lot of competition? Dragon Age, Far Cry, GTA V, The Witcher 3, all "real" open world games. All succesful. All great. Destiny will always have competition. Yet by now we must all realize it will die only with the release of the sequel.

destiny has a secret weapon to draw players back.... gjallahorn! the moment destiny is losing enough of its playerbase, they will put gjallahorn on xur and friends will tell their friends, and they all fome back to get gjallahorn what about the ones who already had gjally and left? you dont think they were playing with friends who didnt have gjally? the ones who already had it, now come back and play with friends who just got it and they see what they can speed clear, and the game becomes much more enjoyable

I personally am losing interest in Destiny. Don't get me wrong but I have loved this game since beta but lately it is hard to get people to do things since the POE & Trials are 3 man teams. Half of your regular raid team can't even play the same event as you. So we are moving on to ESO & only doing our weekly events in Destiny.

1 ReplyWhat you just said there was: "People play other games". Well played sir, well played.
-
4 RepliesEverything is dying.
-
Well technically, we are all dying
-
5 RepliesIts an mmo type game dude. People will leave then come back Some will quit totally New people will come in.
-
That is assuming that people cannot play more than 1 game at a time.
-
Destiny has something any of those don't have. There is a dark synergy about this game with those who've played it hard. Some how it draws people back. Some say great replay-ability. But then, that ram head? If you weren't apart of the very first wave of people who left due to tons of errors, and sick repetition this game had to offer, then my friend, we may have been brain washed. Scary to admit, But. ...... Carry on
-
Well said!
-
I will definitely get some of those games, but as long as there is newish content then destiny will be in my starting lineup of games
-
It won't.
-
7 RepliesWell since witcher 3 release I haven't even touched my destiny disc, get on the forums here time to time when I'm out and about but that's about it.
-
Yea.. People were making this argument 1 month after destiny was released
-
1 ReplyPeople still play CoD zombies?
-
5 RepliesESO is a mediocre mmo at best, that has been out on pc for a while now. SW BF is going to be a shell of a game (sadly) with less content than vanilla destiny. Blops3 if done right is gonna be a challenge and fallout 4 is a no brainer :) I'm glad that at least you realize that it's completely fine to play multiple games ^^
-
You lost me at battlefront. That game is going to be beautiful shit with $200 of dlc.
-
I don't know if Destiny is "dying" or not. I still see several pages of friends playing it at any given time and jumping into crucible, a tower/outpost or patrol and you don't have to wait long for matchmaking to find a session with other players. That said, I personally am close to my burn out point. I'll play if I have a friend online that asks me for help with something, but otherwise, I'm moving on to some other new experiences (games). When Fallout 4 is released, I doubt very much that I will be playing anything else for a good long time.
-
I might play Fallout 4 but that's about the only game you listed that interests me. I would buy Arkham Knight but with all the pre-order exclusives making it literally impossible to buy the full game at launch, I'll wait for a GOTY on that one.
-
cod is already dead since this exo thing fallout, not my type elder scrolls, definitively not my type star wars will be a deception halo 5, i am looking for the campain only batman.... 10hours after i ll be back on destiny
-
Destiny bored nothing new
-
I've not played for about a week, got all 3 to 34 first week and that ruined it for me. Before you had to grind to get past 31 to 32.
