Hi MC -- Sorry to hear about the troubles. I would suggest referring to the following Help article: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12013

Redbox copy was a bust as it was actually scratched. Deleted Destiny and several other games, cleared the cache 5 times then rebooted. Installed fine from my disc via the Xbox menu but waiting on the compatibility pack 4 to install now that I've bored up the game. I'll update after work as I have to go back because I'm just on my lunch break. I'll know more this eve once I return home and everything has downloaded.

Edited by TreeMcG: 6/3/2015 4:07:40 PMI've tried all that multiple times. Cleared cache, deleted game then reinstalled (after clearing cache and a reboot) both from Xbox menu (by hitting x to see game info and installing) to starting game and having it do the install in game. Disc worked fine on Monday but after doing the update on my lunch break the game started acting up with frame lag until it just stopped the game and said disc unreadable and I've been troubleshooting ever since in my free time. First thing I did was check the help pages and I even saw several others who have had the same issue with previous game updates but never saw a resolution on those forum pages outside of checking the link you provided. It's just odd it worked until yesterday. Other discs work and the Destiny disc is clean. Thank you though. Edit: I'll be trying a redbox rental on my lunch break today to confirm any disc issues.

Edited by Chopper Eater: 6/5/2015 12:42:19 PMHaving the same problem. I played 1 match of iron banner and it beagled me. Exactly the same thing is happening as with you, where frames skip and Xbox freezes. I've been waiting all week to play cause of work and was really psyched to do poe and iron banner on my characters. Very disappointing. Oh yes not to mention the 'disc unreadable' message, when my game has never once been taken out since the first time I put it in (giggity) in September.. I kind of feel hopeless

I ended up deleting Destiny and several other games off my hard drive, then cleared system cache 5 times then reboot the system...then one bored back up hit c to view the game not start it and install to system...after installing the game then start it up and let the updates download. Mines been working ok since. It took a ton of troubleshooting on my part.

And a lot of troubleshooting you have saved me. Thank you, I did what you said and it worked. I guess there's just something about deleting several games, clearing cache 5 times, rebooting and then installing from dash that fixes destiny. Thank you again, if I see you in the crucible on the other team I definitely won't kill you

I tried everything exempt deleting other space and nothing had worked. Once I did that it worked...it's a pain though. Just make sure to go back and restore your dlc too...I forgot for a sec and wondered why the game said I needed to purchase the dlc. Glad it worked out for you.
