Is is OK for Bungie to pick what they allow to trend? Yes, they have the right to censor content on their Company sponsored forums. It's their product, their Company, their decision.
However, I would agree that censoring all well articulated criticism is not in keeping with best practices. The proper response would be to post a well articulated explanation of their reasoning.
They have, in fact, posted their formal response repeatedly. The thing is, the vast majority of the player base wants OPTIONAL matchmaking. So, their official response is to ignore what the vast majority of their customers want. In any other business, ignoring the vast majority of your customers is considers poor service. Just saying ...

If you're going to censor the forum, they shouldn't have let deej pontificate about how the player is never wrong and how we're in charge and the forum is our space. I could keep going, it's the regular theme. They're full of crap, but that IS what they like to say.
