  • Real question.... Where are the black people in this game? Non-existent as far as I can see. Me and my buddy have a conspiracy that CD Project Red are some racist assholes and that's what Nekkers are! Haha I'm pretty racist to though to be honest.

There just aren't any black people in it. It doesn't make CDPR racist. Demanding inclusionary elements to sate the demands of a minority outside of the reality of the Witcher will do nothing but create token minority characters. They didn't exist in Sapkowski's lore, they don't exist here. People need to understand that in the case of fictional realms like this one, there is a difference between "endorsement" and "portrayal". The Witcher's world doesn't "endorse" a lack of colored people, it simply "portrays" a world of a single color of people. There are still differences between the inhabitants though. Scoia'tel, dwarven, Redanian, Nilfgaardian, there are tensions between all of them. Including other ethnicities simply for the fact of inclusion is the real crime. I live in northern Canada. I don't know any black people. Why? Because I'm racist? No, because there just aren't that many here, and I just don't happen to know the ones that are. If you told a movie about my life, there would be no supporting black characters. Do you add them for the sake of "inclusion"? Nonsense. Portrayal vs endorsement. Let that sink in.

  • I was just playing around but it completely makes sense, I've never encountered anything desert related or anything like the African continent, therefore there was never a need for the skin pigment to evolve. But on a less serious note, anyone know the name of the land (like the planet) of the witcher. I wanna say Temaria but I can't be sure....

  • Could be to do with land placement. Northern realms might indicate a climate not accustomed to darker skin tones before colonization of other lands. (Pure theorizing here)
