Someone want to explain what Witcher is, and if I should get Witcher 3?

I'm gonna be pissed if anything else gets GOTY, like batman every time they produce a game (aside from origin). They got some tough competition but I'm backing Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for Game of the Year. Period.

In short if you even remotely like RPGs than yes go get it.

It's long series about Geralt of Rivia (main character) who is a witcher. A witcher is usually an orphan taken at a young age and put through many mutations and only 3 out of every 10 survive the ordeals. Much like a Spartans beginnings. Anyway the role witchers play in the world is monster hunting, there superhuman with all there mutations. Monsters vary from griffins to Cyclopes to dragons, to every bump in the night you can imagine and more. It is a completely open world game, easily 3x bigger if not more then any RPG ever made. Your given many choices through out the game and they can change the very world it's self. Side quest aren't a bore either, they are long and feel like main quest which is awesome! Haha anyway 10/10 amazing pick it up.

ES 2 is much bigger than the Witcher 3.

No way no how, you may think it is, wait till you unlock all the maps, Isles of Ard Skellig is straight up huge on it's own, then you got Velen and Novigrad too. Kaer Morhen and White Orchard are pretty small.

Skellige is actually allot smaller than Velen. Sorry but adding a ton of water that takes forever to traverse does not add space to a map in my book. You will be fast traveling all over skellige unless you love really really boring drawn out sequences of holding x down. Other than that though the game is amazing. I feel they should have added in one more area though to be honest but future dlc will add to that. But saying skellige is huge isn't honestly accurate. I can add a million miles of water to any game and call it humongous. ....doesn't mean you're going to traverse it all

Damn, well it's for sure the largest most beautiful and fun game to play! Haha :D That was back in the ES days of shitty maps and no quest markers to lead you.
