Because there is no way to tell between an error and turning off the Xbox by bungie.

  • I guess a better way of putting it is that it is possible however with the current servers they are using I would guess that it would require extensive work that, to put it lightly, bungie simply does not want to do.

  • But wouldn't the portion of Bungie who monitor the servers receive a receipt with a unique code that's attached with my account info to inform them what error code was issued to my IP address? If you just turn the Xbox off that type of notification wouldn't be registered to your recent activity. All I'm saying is there's probably a database, with time stamps, showing I was booted from the server and not rage quitting.
