There is no skill based matching. Luck odd the draw could put a mediocre team against randoms. If it were a round Robin or some other sort of bracket type system that would ensure each successive match pitted you against a team on a similar win steak, then I would agree it is skill based.
Oh, and your suggestion to wait until the end doesn't account for all the people that run it multiple times just to ruin someone else's card and keep them from the lighthouse.
I couldn't care less about the lighthouse. I just want to know why elemental primaries are a reward. Elemental damage doesn't do squat in pvp.

I never said matchmaking was based on skill set and yes there will be those people that will just play it to play it but there will still be others that don't once they are finished and get all characters in a flawless

"Only true earn your gear" implies it is all or almost all skill. you can get a streak of scrub opponents and make it in to lighthouse.

What what evidence of this do you have? You can just as easily get pros as opponents.

You may be right, but it seems from the amount of griping there are far more pvp scrubs than pros. Even less actual teams with no randoms or everyone on comms. There are too many variables to say this is definitely "earning" something. As if that's a thing in a video game anyway.
