I think the Vex alone would win.
Halo had some epic battles, the Covenant definitely have major artillery, but each of the respective Darkness armies has some scary bosses. The Covenant weren't summoning dark gods from across the universe.
Also, the Covenant got to Earth and fought us on a couple fronts. The Darkness pretty much wiped out mankind.

The covenant destroyed the Human fleet as soon as they arrived to earth, what are you talking about. Only a handful of ships survived.
