I think weapon part exchange is one of the most vital additions Bungie need to make to the game. I do think the exchange should cost though. I'm talking like 100 glimmer per 1 part.

I personally think 100 glimmer=1 part is pricey. A typical weapon perk upgrade slot costs materials, roughly 10-25 weapon parts and around 100-200 glimmer. Maybe 100 glimmer = 20-25?

That could be a better mark. My intent was just to highlight that you can't devalue the dismantling results of rare and higher rarity weapons by being overly generous with a potential exchange rate. Or the only thing a play would ever do is glimmer farm. Perhaps you have a way to trade armour materials for weapon ones?

Yeah, that could definitely work. Although for me personally, I'm struggling for materials in that area as well haha. Dismantling weapons (correct me if I'm wrong) usually amounts to roughly 4 weapon parts and around 50 glimmer. I'd have no problem continuing to dismantle unwanted weapons provided I had enough space in my inventory or vault to stockpile these weapon and engram drops.
