There's no difference between fireteams created thru optional matchmaking if the matchmaking is done properly, and fireteams created by random invite spam or random webites - except all the time lost waiting for somebody to answer the random spam or respond to a post on a website. These days, that's a lot of time.
No difference at all for those who won't play with anyone that isn't a lvl34 and has a fully upgraded G'horn as that's what the OPTIONAL is for.

But there is. It's called communication. On LFG If some one is creating a fireteam they'll send you party invites and if some one doesn't join you find someone else. With optional MM there would be countless times where people would be going into these end game activities with zero communication.

Lol, you can get a party invite just as easy with matchmaking. Used to have that with the weekly. No problem at all. Load screen takes long enough it was never an issue. Don't need a 3rd party website for that.

You're misunderstanding. While both can yes, the guy that posts looking for a team is going to be much more open to joining a party then the guy that wants to hit matchmaking. That's true and you know it. MM is for the less social. Unfortunately some if these end game activities will require being talkative and not shy.

Also, since this would be optional ... those who insist on being paired with the truly chatty, can still use the LFG ... tho if Bungie was smart, they'd have at least set up an in-game LFG ... for those who can't put the app on a work phone. See this post: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/124197218/0/0/1 for an example.

I'm not against them adding it. I'm against them deviating any man power and time spent on other additions. Just so this can be added. Everyone that's responded to this thread would have had 6 or more messages by now to start whatever they had posted looking for. It really is just laziness.

Edited by AshKatana: 5/25/2015 7:50:14 PM
It really is just laziness.
I disagree. You must be very lucky in getting good answers. Then again, I can't put the app on a work phone, and I can only post on the test computer at work. Which means that even if I find someone to answer positively, I have to set a "time" where I might be able to meet up with them and hope they show up then. Much harder than either matchmaking or an in-game LFG

Actually, I quite disagree. MM is for those who don't have an hour or more a day to waste waiting for somebody to reply to a post with something other than "YOU DON'T HAVE A G'HORN GET LOST". Has nothing at all to do with chattiness.

That's quite a over reaction. Maybe if you were a more level headed but clearly you're emotional about this.
