Get better knives. Buck 110 and 119 will serve you better. Gets sharper, stays sharper longer, lasts longer. Gerber used to make a great knife but their quality has gone down in the last 15 years.
Put the pocket knife and lighter in your pocket because really those two are the most important two on that list. You might want to keep them on your person at all times.

I'm mobile, how much do those knives cost? Obviously there are better brands than gerber for survival/practical use, but gerber packs quite a punch at their price.

I think $ 110 is $38 from wally world. 119 u can find for $40 on Amazon (picked one up to stick in my truck for $25 at a flea mall). Manufacturers price is around $80 for the 119. If u shop around, u can find both for under $80. The 119 will hold an edge thru an entire deer processing. 110 thru a several small game. Kabar makes a good similar style knife. Not sure how well it holds its edge tho
