Are you by chance using a Rogers rocket modem/gateway? I have Rogers as well and have problems connecting within the game. I have found a packet loss problem between me and bungie on the Rogers network. I have messaged other gamers that have the same issue as us. It may in fact be a problem with Rogers. I just called Rogers again since they have escalated my findings but have not fixed the problem. Cheers

Edited by Canuckles89: 5/21/2015 4:11:04 PMYes, I'm using the new Rocket modem from Rogers. But I am not experiencing any packet loss according to pingtest.net. I have an escalated call into rogers as well but the one tech who investigated the system said everything looks peachy on my end. With all that being said, if you get a resolution with Rogers or by some miracle something makes it a stable connection, please update here!!! I can't help but feel like we're on our own though. Neither Bungie nor the ISP know what's causing the issue and we lose out.

I used a program called pingplotter as it does a continuos ping test. A trial version can be downloaded.I used bungie.net as the target and after about 10 seconds I get a major packet loss at a Rogers hub in Toronto that varies from 10% to 60% packet loss

Shadowman006 What is the IP of the Toronto hub your getting packet loss at? I have been having many disconnect issues on Rogers and want to see if that is the route my traffic is hitting as well.

The ip of the hub is 209.148.224.254 and the packet loss changes constantly. The next hop after that ip shows 100% packet loss but that hub probably doesnt respond to this type of ping test or icmp as they call it.

209.148.224.242 was the 5th hop on my tracert from my location to bungie.net (total of 7 hops). I ran a constant plotter and some other tools last night and when I was disconnected with beetle and weasel errors last night that hop either went to 100% packet loss for about 3 seconds or the ms response time was at 800+ when it is normally 22-27. Looks like the issue is more than just one Rogers device/hop.

Sounds lime rogers is having a problem for sure. Ip's are very close to one another. I just had a call from a Rogers manager as I have escalated the issue with them. Another gamer with the same problem has switched modems away from the rocket modem and is having less problems now. I told rogers thst as well since there have been issues with the new rocket modem. I wouldnt be surprised if hintron doesnt get replaced soon as there modem supplier.

Keep me posted, I would like to know if a solution is found or if Rogers comes to the table and fixes this.

I doubt Bungie.net is the site/destination that hosts their online gaming network though . . .

Edited by Shadowman006: 5/21/2015 4:41:14 PMTheir servers would be close to them. I also tried other ip addresses on the west coast and have the packet loss to them. Any site on the east coast I dont go thru that hub and dont get any packet loss. Cheers
