I was beginning to think nobody here had heard of Xenoblade. I'm glad to see I was wrong.

Edited by MightyJonE: 5/19/2015 1:49:25 AMXenoblade chronicles sold well recently on 3DS, so I'm sure lots have heard of it and played it. I never bought it for the wii when it was first released, and its prices are quite high now if you can find it. So I'm currently playing it on 3DS. The wiiU sequel footage looks fantastic

I just bought the 3ds port as well. My buddy let me borrow the Wii version for a little bit and I got hooked, so I had to get the port to finish.

I've seen wii footage on YouTube, and I must admit the game does look much better on wii, specifically the environments, so I think I would've preferred to play it on console As you played a fair amount of it on wii, don't you find the graphical difference jarring, especially with all that text cluttering the screen?
-
Not really. I actually prefer the port honestly. I can barely notice the graphical differences and the load times are actually faster. Even bringing up the menu is smoother and quicker. I also much prefer having all of my health bars and readouts on the bottom screen as opposed to cluttered over my heads up display. (It also didn't help that my tv is from the 80's and has a wonky resolution.) Idk, sure the graphics are worse but the gameplay is just as awesome.

Edited by MightyJonE: 5/19/2015 2:14:16 AMWith the graphics, it was more about clarity that was sometimes lacking in the 3DS version. Like you say, ultimately it's the gameplay that matters. Yes, it's definitely an advantage using the 3DS for menus But you really need a new TV there! You're losing so much visual fidelity on an old 80s TV

Ha yeah. My other consoles are hooked up to my computer monitor so I barely use my tv. It's actually pretty big so It can handle all of my other Wii games.
