You can see third person already in your gear screen, on your sparrow, in the tower, holding a sword, holding a scorch canon, dancing/sitting, etc.
They'd have to rework the entire aiming mechanic for precision aiming and distance/range damage falloff. Sounds more annoying to do just to add it to the third of the game that doesn't have it.

They already have that worked out. The mission 'last rites' you can see that they already have an aiming system. I used every gun type I could, even the sniper wasn't bad.

Maybe, maybe not, I would sure like the option though, they are more than good enough to do it.

Edited by xnbkcbc: 5/18/2015 8:23:54 PM
they are more than good enough to do it.
Famous last words...as the other poster said, it isn't easy to setup the camera in a shooter to be precise enough for both. I've yet to see a good example in a shooting game. If it is a choice between precision and vanity cosmetics, the latter will (or at least should) lose every time.

Metal gear solid is a good example it's a very precise shooting mechanism. All they have to do is the same thing with over the shoulder aim and then the additional aim to use your iron sights and it'd be perfect. And with all the customization in the game I would like to see my character.

For me I don't care as to being as accurate as the fps mode, but I know they can do it

My "famous last words" remark was directed to your implication that they can do it easily. If it cannot be done well, it should not be done at all. You may not care about accuracy and think that "looking cool" is more important, but you are in the minority. This is a shooter, not a dress-up game, and precision aiming is more important.

As an option it should be there, those are your opinions, and that is fine, but I'm confident that Bungie can do it, ARMA is a fine example
