DONE with this "treasure key" BS!
Like many of you, I spent countless hours this weekend grinding the "wolves" events in search of treasure keys. It was fun for about the first hour or two... but after that it was irritating beyond belief.
I found 2 keys and 2 legendary engrams.... and a shit ton of blue engrams.
I can't believe they actually thought this would be a good idea or fun for us players. HoW isn't even out yet and I'm already feeling completely let down. The mindless idiocy of running back and forth between 2 spots on a map... fighting the same fight over and over and opening chest after disappointing chest.... is this a sign of what the rest of the DLC is going to be like?
I'm sure many of you will disagree with me and that's likely because these forums are filled with a lot of people who will be fans of the game no matter how much it goes to shit.
Anyway... If I'm doing a patrol bounty and stumble across a wolf event, I'll stop and do it... but beyond that... I'm DONE with that tedious grind!

3 RepliesIt's pointless to farm the keys. You can only open the large chest once per POE run and you get a key for completing it.

At least you found 2 .. Over 40+ chests .. All blue engrams etc .. Not even a purple ..

I'm not really mad like some ppl said the waves were pretty tough and fun to challenge solo. I just hope that mabye in the future they increase the RNG for treasure keys or mabye make it like how u get postmaster rewards for lvling except instead they give at least one guaranteed treasure key extra for say mabye beating at least one of the wanted bounties a week

It was a huge grind but even those that did not get lots of keys, I got 8, you did get lots of blue to power up the cryptarc and had a chance at how great that way as well. It just depends on your expectations and what you wanted out of the grind.

This shit was not mandatory, if you got irritated then do something else. I switched back and forth from crucible to farming keys so i wouldnt get bored.

Uhm... I had fun? The enemies actually put up a fight, especially if you're soloing them. Calm down...? If you don't want to do it then don't.

It would have been nice to have more than one crack at PoE guaranteed per week. That said I think it's fine and I won't be grinding for keys.

4 RepliesI'm pretty sure if you're older than 15 , you understand the simplicity of video games. It's meant to have fun. I would play games like Spryo , Ratchet and Clank, or Jax and Daxter and get 100% just to have self satisfaction. Nowadays, kids want to be better than everyone and forget the essence of what a video game is. Ever since online multiplayer has been brought, Video Games have never been the same .

1 ReplyI farmed collectively for about 5-6 hours and it was fun, sparrow racing from zone to zone, unloading Ghorn after Ghorn, supers everywhere...good fun!

I had people in my clan who had less luck than you. But they still had fun farming and spending time.

I found one key that's after doing all bountys with my three characters, no legendarys postys maxed out with blues, And I put in about 5 hrs chest hunting. It was fun and I certainly ain't mad, nor will I feel I HAVE to keep smashing the ether chest out too. What you rushing for? The games not going anywhere!

Well you gotta remember in 3 months you'll hit the same progression wall that everyone grinding hits in the first week and then complains there isn't enough content. Just enjoy the ride. Destiny isn't competitive.

Not being funny, you'll let your self down as grinding so hard is just burning your self out, there is no rush.... My brother has been hitting it hard to the point deleting guns etc This is not crack so stop abusing it
