Yeah, that's why I'm not sure if Atheism is the proper title for the discussion. Do you believe that human consciesness is tied to our physical selves? And do you feel like your thoughts on that matter are tied to your disbelief in God? I get that atheism is, simply put, disbelief in God. But can one be atheist and still believe in the possibilty that consciousness extends beyond physiological interactions between neurons?
