The expansion was worked on and had a bunch added to it. HoW will obviously have its bugs and such as all games and DLC'S do, but it honestly looks like it's changing Destiny for the better. It's not just new stories strikes and end game fun, they actually changed a bunch of mechanics and tweaked RNG to be more in our favor. I was extremely excited for Destiny to launch in September, but I think I'm more excited now for the DLC to finally drop.

You're aware that both 4 and gat-out-of-hell were chuffed-up DLCs that ended up being released as a full "game", right? This is why 4 has achievements for vehicles, despite there being no earthly reason why you'd want to use one*. Saints Row 3 was intended to get a load of DLCs, Borderlands 2 style, but no-one bought Saints Row 3, and Enter The Dominatrix** ended up getting too big to be a DLC, and so they ended up making 0.8 of a game out of it. And then once they'd done it once, there was even less reason to have bought 3, so they had to give the rest of the roadmap the "standalone expansion" treatment too. [spoiler] [/spoiler] * other than as a projectile. ** the original concept for which ended up getting released as DLC for the game it got turned into, and the circle of life was complete.
