What's wrong with the church? (Never heard of it so excuse my ignorance on the subject)

Quick description: They're extremists who go around picketing the funerals of people they deem "sinners". They are most widely known for picketing the funerals of military men and women who died in the war all because they were homosexual. They stand around yelling that the person was a sinner and is going to hell and deserved to die or saying they died because of their homosexuality, while the family stands around the coffin in tears.

If I remember There's a video of them picketing a funeral some of the soldiers looked ready to beat them to death.
