Honestly, I didn't think Fallout 3 was that good of a game. I'd definitely prefer ES 6. Fallout had a really weird pacing. It was kind of hard at first, and as soon as you get the hang of it everything is too easy and you breeze through the second half of the campaign. Never felt like playing it after that.
