I think it's saying paladin is the persons title or maybe rank. I feel like I have seen paladin somewhere else in the grimoire cards also.

Some Titan-heavy subfaction with a function like the Hezen Collective, Wasteland's Rangers, or Fallout's Brotherhood of Steel? Some inquisition-style proactive civil defense force maybe.
