Well if you're truly passionate about it I would start by finding out if there are any companies near where you live and contact the office for a visit. Just be polite, but be persistent. Expect to hear no a lot and keep trying. Be honest with what you tell someone and you will get a response. If you're not physically close, schedule a Skype call with another office. Again, just be brutally honest that you would like to talk to a senior developer for just 15-20 minutes because you're passionate and want to find out more. Search, call, be persistent. The steps I just described will take time (or you may get lucky).
