TV show aside, I've been a long time flash fan. In the comics, reverse flash is faster to a certain point but after Barry gets lost in the speed force he learns to harness the power of the speed force and gets faster and is able to time travel. Until that moment reverse flash is the only speedster that could time travel. I love that eobard Thawne had the ring in the final episode. I hope Barry gets one now.

Perhaps the ring is taken & experimented on by Cisco, & he figures out a way to store the flash's suit inside the ring instead of reverse flash's.

I'd say that's what happens. In the comics Barry just copies it from the reverse flash.

Me too. I stopped watching arrow because they did a bunch of dumb stuff. Hope they don't do that to the flash

Yes it was. Firestorm kind of got taken out like a bitch though.

He is the least experienced of the bunch. Arrow has had lots of training and the flash has had the reverse flash train him. Firestorm has been on his own.
