more casual fan base
You mean all of the people who liked skyrim?
This is probably true, even though I liked it, it was nowhere near as challenging and fun as the other ES games.
-
Sorry to say, but that would be quite a lot of people, including myself.
-
Sorry to say, but you're a dirty casual.
Sorry to say, but you're a dirty casual.
Oh nooooo they like a game you don't consider challenging, what a -blam!-ing scrub. Go beat off over From Software some more.
-

You don't know who From Software is, yet you have the audacity to call someone a casual?
They made Demon Souls, the Dark Souls series, and Bloodborne.

Sorry for being so offensive about this whole ordeal, the whole casual vs hardcore players has always been immensely stupid to me.
That's cause you're taking shit seriously on the Internet. You're not supposed to do that.
-
Perhaps, but the fact that "hardcore" gamers take every chance they get to call someone who liked a game they didn't enjoy or find difficult a "filthy casual scrub" is just idiotic. It is an overused, asinine joke.
-
OMG This! Honestly, who the hell are you to tell someone what games to enjoy or how often.

Just stop, and let him sift in his ignorance :) I find it funny that because I'm an Elder Scrolls/Bethesda fan I'm now a casual (although that term isn't necessarily insulting, and I don't know why people treat it as such). If you ask me, ANY game can be hardcore if you put enough hours into it, I put an easy 1000 hours on Skyrim, Fallout 3, and New Vegas (not combined), so would that still make me a casual? It's how YOU play the game, not what defines the game.
