There are very few off-the-shelf Vendor Weapons that are worth your Marks... some have a bad Elemental Type... some have bad perk sets... some have bad EVERYTHING.
There are a couple of notable exceptions:
Crucible - Three Little Words (High Impact archetype Pulse Rifle... two burst kill).
Vanguard - LDR-5001 (unless you already have a good Legendary Arc Sniper).
Dead Orbit - Deviant Gravity-A (solid off-the-shelf PvE Arc MG which is OK for PvP).
Just remember: you CAN'T re-forge these later; however, you can ascend them to 365 ATK if you want to.
It's up to you Guardian... you may suffer from buyer's remorse if you spend ALL of your VG/Crucible Marks now... but once these are gone, they're gone.

Three Little Words seems to be my Crucible purchase. Thank you for the advice. Thing with Marks is that they're quickly replenishable, so I'd rather purchase the item and not buy HoW gear immediately than not have the weapon at all. Again, thank you for the sound advice

Three Little Words is a pretty solid Pulse Rifle... just make sure to use the Range to your advantage. If you like Red Death, you will like Three Little Words. I haven't seen any High Impact archetype Pulse Rifles in the new Vendor Gear... so they will be hard to come by after HoW is released (although that can always change at the last minute). http://planetdestiny.com/house-wolves-vendor-weapons/
