I'm holding reservations, the beta needs to really impress me for me to buy it. I haven't kept up on the hype train so I know very little but from what I've read there's been a lot taken out of the older games

Play it for yourself, the beta will be released and is free to download. However, it may be unbalanced and of course won't have all the content. But that's why they have a beta, to help balance things.

1 ReplyPeople are upset it isn't going to be an exact clone of it's predecessors. I've played both previous games excessively and now it's time to try something new. Big Battlefield players so I'm excited Dice is picking this one up and I'm sure the results will be satisfactory. The only way I can see them screwing the pooch on this one is if they don't have many game modes, activities, customization options, or a deep clan/community support system implemented. The more options you have the more immersive a game is.

It will be a success in the fact that star wars is a cash grab. Now the real question is how long will it last. And it really comes down to support. It looks fun. But no single player will hurt it at least on the console side. If you see more missions support come up it could definitely last

2 RepliesNo I don't think so. The Battlefield community is strong despite the piss poor release state of bf4. Battlefield is probably the best pvp game available right now on xbone/ps4 IMO. Star Wars fanboy community is huge and has plenty of disposable income. I think it will be a hit.

1 ReplyWhy the -blam!- is everyone so Butthurt about no space battles?! I never liked them that much. A space battle never loaded up and I went, "OH! Yipee!" They were just there... And honestly, I preferred the first battlefront anyways.
