I spotted these on a warlock in the cinematic when you land in the tower for the first time when I made my second character in week 2.

Yeah, I think this is one of those items that was kept locked up since before release. If you look at the videos back when they announced the game, the titan was wearing gauntlets that were not sold by the crucible until the first DLC :P
