All recreational drugs have the same effect: disrupting the regulation of dopamine (a chemical involved in brain functions) flowing to the brain's pleasure center. This is the "high" that those under the influence of drugs experience. However, the methods by which various drugs do this can be highly destructive, and marijuana, in particular, also damages the heart and lungs in addition to the brain.

So... what about coffee? Caffeine can be considered a recreational drug since most adults (At least in America) drink coffee on a daily basis.

Like the wall in my room knows more about marijuana then you
-
People who are against weed 95% of the time haven't tried it. Is that you?
-
No, but I have friends who have, and quit immediately.
-
I liked this for its blatant stupidity. You know little to nothing about cannabis yet here you are preaching your heart out spewing lies to the public as if they are docterine. Please, for the love of all things, shut the -blam!- up.
-
Actually a recent study proved that marijuana does not harm the lungs nearly as much as regular cigarettes do. Numerous studies have shown that it is less harmful, and less destructive that cigarettes and alcohol. So if anything, it is actually safer to use.
-
Cannabis doesnt harm your lungs at all if you dont SMOKE it. ;) some people are retarded.
-
Cannabis also has the added benefit of attaching cannabinois upon receptors in the brain. It does not in any way harm the heart, lungs or brain. In fact, it heals and protects them. Only use safe and healthy drugs like cannabis.
-
It may have medical benefits in small amounts, but overuse can cause seizures.
-
Wrong again.
-
It definitely would not cause seizures, it actually prevents them. Of course, no one should abuse anything.
-
Tell that to statistics.
-
You are dumb as shit... doctors use cannabis to treat epilepsy.
-
Sure. Here's a child that went from having 1200 seizures a month to one or two a month after using cannabis. http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/07/health/charlotte-child-medical-marijuana/

To people with pre-existing lung or heart problems maybe....
