Who cares? This has nothing to do with Destiny. Soliciting is against the code of conduct as well.

Obviously he cares. And they met on Destiny so there's some relevance. He will never get to talk to that guy again. So what if he wanted to talk about it? Asking for donations may not have been appropriate but let the mods take care of that. Going out of your way to make a bereaved person feel bad about themselves is shameful behavior in any situation. Show some class.

The mods won't take care of what they don't see or don't see as a problem. Now that the ambiguous destiny tag was removed from the OP I've got no complaints. If this was legitimately posted in their clan section then great. It just doesn't belong on the main boards, particularly if donations are being asked for.

They throw in on flowers. I get that spamming forums with solicitation is wrong, but this is totally different. The point of Destiny is that it's a [i][b]social[/b][/i] shooter. Let people honor their dead. It's the social thing to do. Mostly, I don't understand why stuff that gets posted in clan forums lands in the main forum to begin with. There's no destiny tag on this.

Some guy dying; even if he was part of a clan- has nothing to do with destiny. And if you don't like the code of conduct then you shouldn't be posting here. Just because some people are sad and their friend is gone, it doesn't mean the rules change. This could very easily have been posted in their clan section or fb profiles, not here, not with that tag. I'm not going to feel bad for some guy who I don't know. All these wellwishers will forget he ever lived and his poor kids within the week.

Here is a direct response to you and your "attention whores" comment. The man you are referring to was my brother. I haven't met you and I will hold all judgements about you based strictly on your forum posts. Our clan is a close-knit group of guys who would have never met without Destiny. This game brought us all together as friends. I am so very sorry that you were burdened with a request to honor a deceased member of the human race. I can understand how just blowing right past the post would have somehow shamed your family name. I'm sure in time you will forget this post and the reason for it, but try to understand, this is part of every day life for some of us. I only ask that you show my brother and his friends the same level of respect in their mistake as they will show you for your blatant lack of respect for human life.
