I just need a mouse and not a crappy trackpad so my stuff doesn't look as potato quality as it has been.

I use a track pad. It's possible to do good work with either.

I guess, but trackpads just seem so more irritating to work with.

It really depends on how you hold your hand and the quality of the trackpad itself. I have a pretty good trackpad and bend my pointer finger as if I'm holding it like a pencil, then just draw like that. It works for me.

I guess, although I'm still gonna at least test and see if a mouse will work better for me. I have a spare one I can borrow.
