Im gonna feel bad for people doing this.
There was no mention of a BIG surprise, just a surprise, if even that. They haven't even come out and said its a surprise, just a date with "stay tuned". Not quite sure, but that doesn't automatically translate into "new content/information", or even big information at that.
Don't hype up what we don't know about yet, or else the possibility of extreme disappointment becomes incredibly high. Can't wait for the "Where's our surprise Bungie! You promised us a surprise!" posts on Friday/Saturday.
Not saying there WONT be a big surprise Friday, but people are starting to expect more than what is reasonable and that is what leads to a lot of the hate posts. Just tread with caution and lower the bar.

You have 3 kind of players in Destiny: 1st kind that always speaks of how shit this game is and who is always raging but keeps playing 2nd kind enjoys the game but is for some reason always dissapointed and keeps wondering on the forum why he/she keeps playing 3th kind enjoys the game is critical for it but won't go in a rage and is satisfied with the product and admits that it ain't perfect but enjoys it anyway Personally I count myself to the third category. The surprise will be a sparrow I think like they did with the Season pass holders

This, the topic of this post will create a shitstorm when the May 8th thing won't be "BIG" and people will be crying on the forums telling they were promised some big news and they may quit due to they were "lied" to.

Well they did say what was on may 8th. At the end of the stream on the 6th a message popped up telling viewers that the house of wolves preview video would be out on the 8th

Yeah, a House of Wolves preview video, yet people are expecting a massive drop like 3rd Subclasses or the next raid. Its essentially going to be an overview video, but people are over hyping this "surprise". Im just trying to advise a little caution and restraint, or else we will see more "bungie lied" videos, and you know that will happen.

It's the Christmas presents all over again lol. I remember how much people were hyping up their free gifts only to come on and complain about them being legendary weapons afterwards lol. I mean seriously people set some realistic expectations

I had just gotten the game like 5 days before the gifts and was only a level 22 so when I got a legendary rocket one way ticket I was so happy. I still have and use it as it is tracking and I realized a while later how rare and important that is in a rocket for some things

You probably would've missed all the wild speculation on here then. People were convinced they were gonna get exotics and all sorts lol. It was pretty obvious that those of us who had been playing from day one probably wouldn't get anything useful. End of the day they didn't have to do anything but they did so I was happy regardless
