I didn't see him get yelled at, but I heard him ask and seen the resulting - can't be done response. I'm thinking the goal was to get the reveal to the end, so we could see how the final boss and treasure drop / redemption process worked. My guess is Deej was trying to salvage the plan to get them all the way to the end, and hoped they could just 'give' Broman (the guest on the test bed environment) a completion key so he could go through the treasure / reward sequence. Something tells me they learned a few lessons on this one.
