I don't mind the game going under maintenance to make it better. What I mind is that they do it unexpectedly. Yes, we've heard about changes coming soon but they're never very specific about it unless it s major patch. Other than that, it's luck of the draw. It's annoying to have a day off and look forward to play Destiny only to find out that the game is offline (*coughatthesanetimeasthetwitchstreamcough*). If there was a way for Bungie to say "Hey, guys! Maintenance tomorrow!" Or "In about an hour!" Then that'd be ok. And no, Twitter shouldn't count. An announcement here would also help seeing as how this is our number one source of information and discussion about the game and not all of us have Twitter. Again, just like DestinyLFG, we should have to go to a Hurd party site to stay informed. But whatever, what else can we do, huh?
